Omaha Public Library's 12 branches tally nearly 2.4 million visits in 2013

The Omaha Public Library's 12 branches recorded 2,372,350 visits in 2013.

Officials cited more operating hours, the Common Soil Seed Library, national and local author visits, more workshops in a variety of subjects for different ages, a popular Summer Reading Program, computer classes and story times for making the library one of the most-visited organizations in Nebraska.

The growth of the library's e-book and e-magazine collections helped build its online presence.
