Omaha's first First Watch Cafe now open in old Burger Star spot

« Food

First Watch Cafe is open.

The cafe will serve breakfast, brunch and lunch at 1222 S. 71st St., near the corner of 72nd and Pacific Streets, in a location formerly occupied by Burger Star.

This is the first of three First Watch Cafes that Omaha-based Cutchall Management plans to open in the city.

First Watch has locations around the country, and the first Omaha location has an open kitchen and a focus on preparing fresh food. Menu items include pancakes, omelets, salads and sandwiches, as well as signature dishes such as the “Chickichanga,” whipped eggs with chicken, chorizo, green chile, cheddar and jack cheese, onions and avocado rolled in a flour tortilla; fresh fruit crepes and healthy omelet choices.

First Watch will be open daily from 7 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. and serves its entire menu every day.
