A lot of big video game titles are coming out this year, from sports to shooters to fighting games. In the order they'll be released, these are our most anticipated games for the rest of the year.

Note: We cheated a bit, as a few of the games we mention won't be released until fall. But relax, go with the flow. It's summer, man.

Lollipop Chainsaw — If they gave out awards for over-the-top games, this one might sweep the category. During a zombie outbreak at a high school, you play a buxom cheerleader with two weapons: a chainsaw and the severed head of your zombie-infected boyfriend. (June 12)

London 2012 — The official game for this year's summer Olympics should be a blast. You may even be able to relive your U.S. Swim Trials experience in Omaha by playing as Michael Phelps. (June 26)

The Amazing Spider-Man — While this game, based on the upcoming film, looks fun, we mostly want to play it because a download allows you to play as the godfather of superhero comics, Stan Lee. Pre-order the game at Amazon.com and you get a character skin that changes Spider-Man into his real-life creator. You also get special Stan Lee missions where you have to collect pages from his latest comic scripts. ( June 26 )

NCAA Football 13 — Once again, this should prove to be another exciting year of simulating the college football experience. Will the Huskers win a national championship in 2012? We suppose it's possible in real life, but much more likely in the video game. (July 10)

Madden NFL 13 — More football, but this is the pros. Good thing the game updates rosters because with all of the changes recently (Manning/Tebow, anyone?) and certainly more to come before the season, it would be a chore to do it manually. (Aug. 28)

Transformers: Fall of Cybertron — This game looks like a lot of robot-transforming and fighting fun. It even looks better than the films, but we don't think that's particularly hard to pull off. (Aug. 28)

Dead or Alive 5 — Fighting games are a blast, especially if you get together with a few friends and beat up on each other. This game will probably be the best fighting game to come out this year. (Sept. 25)

Assassin's Creed III — Taking place during the Revolutionary War, the third installment of the franchise has caused a huge stir with its recently released gameplay footage. We can't wait to take down some redcoats. (Oct. 30)

Halo 4 — The studio that created this alien off-world shooter gave it up, but we're still pretty excited to play the fourth installment. (Nov. 6)

Call of Duty: Black Ops II — The first Black Ops took place in the Vietnam era, but this one jumps into the future. The Call of Duty series has always done a great job of recreating the past and present so a look into the future will be fun. (Nov. 13)
