How to make the perfect snowman

Related News

Be that mom who helps build the snowman.

Here's how.

1. Make sure the snow is "packing" snow. It must stick together. If it's the kind that flakes away when you try to form a ball in your hands, you're doomed from the start. Wait for the next snowfall.

2. Pack snow together in your hands until you have a snowball too big to hold.

3. Roll the snowball along the ground, gathering snow as you go. Pack the snow on.

4. Start with the bottom ball, which should be the largest. Then, do this for the middle (body) and top (head) snowballs, too.

5. Stack the snowballs. Pack in extra snow to help hold them together.

6. Give your snowman (or woman!) a face. Use rocks, coal, buttons, etc. for eyes and a mouth. A carrot or a candy cane for a nose. Sticks for arms. Give him (or her) a scarf, too. It's cold out there after all!
